Resembling a sun in itself, this is the heart of Adscendo and one of the most spectacular of all world trees. Its spear-like golden metallic leaves reflect sunlight and offer a shining beacon to all. Its roots unfurl as the One World Bridge to create anchoring points for islands and airships. On rare occasions, all main islands are gathered together to celebrate the union of Adscendo among the branches of its Tree.

Made up of the roots of the Shimmering Tree, which unfurl to connect with nearby islands and to let airships dock. This forms an interconnected pathway around the connected islands. Words of love and unity, spoken into the bark of these roots, appear as though carved in the wood.
A large and miraculous magical bird with multicolored feathers, golden aspects, and fierce intelligence. She is believed to hail from the realm of Adscendo but is able to magically travel anywhere in Paperworld. The Sages of the Great Library of Tomorrow can call upon her in times of great need.
The children of Amare herself, these large, magical birds have special golden feathers in their blue plumage. Dropped golden feathers are prized in Adscendo, the metal properties helping the Ateliers’ Guild to fashion improved flying machines for their realm.
